The MTNL plan compared to the best offered by other telecoms
MTNL is offering a new and increased 3G mobile data pack, which will push the new limit up by three times, but at the same price (for the MTNL prepaid customers).
The state-run public telecom company has announced, that the prepaid users buying the Rs. 99 data pack will now get a 1.5 GB data which will be valid for 30 days (the same pack gave 500 MB data earlier).
Similarly, the Rs. 19 data pack will now offer triple the 3G data of 750 MB (the same pack gave 250 MB earlier). All the new schemes have been in effect from August 7, MTNL has confirmed.
Top 3G Data Plans
We’ll be looking at Top 5 3G data plans currently available in India. All data plans are valid for one billing cycle (28 days), with at least 1GB 3G data FUP and is not a part of any of the long-term plan.
1. MTNL 3G Pack
The MTNL prepaid customers, who will recharge with the Rs. 319 data pack, will now get 2GB of 2G/3G data every day with unlimited free calls to all the MTNL networks (in Delhi and Mumbai) and also 25 free minutes daily to all other networks. This pack is valid for 28 days.
Airtel prepaid customers with the Rs. 178 3G data pack, will get 1GB of 3G data (4G LTE speed may be available) as a whole. The pack does not include any free calls and is valid for 28 days. Post free data, it will cost Rs.0.04 per 10KB.
